Build Your Own List
A List you build yourself is your own property and no-one can take that from you.
Any contacts you make through Social Media or an affiliate company remain theirs and you don't have total control over.
To build your own List you will need some particular software that will handle all the finer points for you. The List is then your property
It is not necessary to have your own Website to build your List because the software needed to caputre the contacts into a List will handle all this too.
That said, having a website branded to your name is something that is also advisable.
It really depends on how much you want get involved in Marketing. If it is just an autoresponder you want {this is what will build your List}, then I would recommend Sendshark. It is reiable econnomical and will do all you need.

"OK, where do I go to get people to join my list to be stored in the autoresponder?"
There are many places and Social Media platforms that you might find 'Leads', to add to you List. Starting out simply there are two ways to go; Paid Leads and Unpaid Leads.
If you are able to use spare funds then Paid leads is the better way to go. Finding value though is a very big question which I wll go into later.
Finding leads when you do not have spare funds is a little more difficult but not impossible. It just takes a more time which you may have plenty of or your time is limited. Progress is still a matter of applying yourself.
Collecting your leads is a big subject that it would take too much space here and defeat the simple steps that these training lessons require.
